Shancie Jenkins - Chief, Office of Health Improvement and Wellness


As the Chief of the Office of Health Improvement and Wellness, Shancie Jenkins oversees Title V Maternal and Child Health, WIC (Women, Infant, and Children) and Children with Medical Handicaps, Ryan White, and Injury and Violence Prevention programs. She also serves as co-chair on the ODH Infant Mortality Steering Committee. 
 

Prior to joining ODH in 2015, she was the Director of Delaware County Job and Family Services. She oversaw the implementation of the local components of the Affordable Care Act and managed the agency’s $9 million budget.

 

Shancie’s previous experience in state government includes serving in senior positions at the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS), where she managed the agency’s strategic planning process and implementation and advised the director on agency policies regarding the U.S. Departments of Labor and Health and Human Services.
