The RUG IV Hierarchical Provider Frequency Distribution Report reference is a cover letter that explains the availability of the RUGs IV distribution by facility report. These reports are now available via the MITS portal that is used by the providers to review their quarterly MDS reports. Note that ODM had to change the naming convention of this report in order to allow it to be posted on the portal.

Also, it is important to note that while a RUGs IV model has not yet been decided, RUGs IV will be used for the rate setting period beginning 7/1/16. Therefore, MDS assessments from the quarterly reports ending 12/31/15 and 3/31/16 will be converted to RUGs IV.

If you have any questions regarding accessing the MITS portal, please contact the provider help desk at 1-800-686-1516. If you have any questions regarding information contained on the MDS case mix reports, please contact the case mix help desk at 614-644-9395.
