Chronic Disease Prevention
Ohio is working to enhance and integrate the Ohio Department of Health’s cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke, tobacco use prevention and cessation program and women's health to maximize their impact and efficiency. As a first step in this process, current programs will be inventoried to identify gaps in coverage and promising practices and to assist in establishing priorities for future programming or funding. The ultimate goal of these efforts is a decrease in Ohio’s chronic disease and injury rates.
