Heart Disease is the #1 leading cause of death for both men and women in Ohio and in the United States. In fact, more than 600,000 Americans die of heart disease each year1. That equates to 1 in every 4 deaths in The United States1.

Even more people are living with some type of cardiovascular disease. According to the 2015 Ohio Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), approximately 835,000 Ohio adults have been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease (heart attack, coronary heart disease or stroke). Anyone, even children, can develop heart disease.
