Hospital Performance Measures Data Welcome to the Ohio Department of Health's hospital performance measures data home page! As of April 2007 the Ohio Department of Health requires Ohio hospitals to report semi-annual data with the ultimate goal of making this data available to all Ohioans. The Department is currently collecting six measures endorsed by the Joint Commission, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the National Quality Forum regarding heart attacks, heart failure and pneumonia. In addition, the Department is collecting five Patient Safety Indicators created by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality regarding surgical procedures. Hospital Reporting Guidelines and Reporting Deadlines
Ohio Revised Code section 3727.33 requires each hospital to submit information showing its performance in meeting inpatient and outpatient service measures to the Director of Health on a semi-annual basis. The performance measures that must be reported at the present time are specified in Ohio Administrative Code rule 3701-14-02, Reporting of Hospital Performance Measures.
