Primary Care Office
The Primary Care Office (PCO) works to coordinate local, state and federal resources to address workforce issues and to aid in the delivery of primary care services in the State of Ohio.
As part of these efforts, the PCO works to identify unmet need for primary care services by assisting communities in acquiring designation as federal Health Professional Shortage Areas and Medically Underserved Areas/Populations.
The Ohio PCO was established through a cooperative agreement with the Health Resources and Services Administration, and is authorized by the Public Health Service Act, Title III, Section 333D.
