Manufactured Home Parks
Overview
Manufactured home parks in Ohio are regulated under the authority of Chapter 3733 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC). “Manufactured home park” means any tract of land upon which three or more manufactured homes used for habitation are parked. Manufactured home parks are subject to the rules for construction, drainage, flood plain management, sanitation, safety and operation as specified in Chapter 3701-27 of the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC).
Services
Policy and procedural guidance to local health district administration and staff for the implementation of the manufactured home park regulatory program • Training programs in manufactured home park licensing and inspection for local health district sanitarians • Technical assistance to manufactured home park industry representatives and associations • Consultation and assistance to the general public on manufactured home park issues including complaint investigation • Periodic survey of local health district licensing programs to assure that the programs are conducted in compliance with the ORC and OAC.

Rule Development
The Manufactured Home Park rules are developed by the Ohio Department of Health with the assistance of the Manufactured Home Park Rule Review Committee.

Manufactured Home Installation
Manufactured homes within manufactured home parks must be installed and inspected in accordance with standards adopted by the Ohio Manufactured Homes Commission as specified in Chapters 4781-6 and 4781-7 of the OAC.
