Why must my baby be screened?
A brochure outlining 35 disorders mandated for screening by the state of Ohio with a brief description of the program and the disorders screened. Parents are given the brochure at the birthing facility prior to collection of the newborn screen. Translations are available in the following languages.

Emergency Card
A sample emergency card for infants with suspected fatty acid oxidation disorders to present to medical providers in an emergency setting documenting the need for intravenous glucose in time of stress or poor intake that put the infant at risk.

Newborn Screening On-line educational module
Region4 Genetics Collaborative, through HRSA Grant funding is proud to announce the availability of "Newborn Screening: What Prenatal Caregivers Need to know". This self-paced on-line educational module is accessible free of charge to all health care professionals and providers involved in the care of new and expectant mothers.
