Cancer Programs at ODH

The Centers for Disease Control defines comprehensive cancer as an integrated and coordinated approach to reducing cancer incidence, morbidity, and mortality through prevention, early detection, treatment, rehabilitation and palliation. ODH’s role in cancer prevention and control is seen in several areas throughout the department, making it truly a comprehensive approach. Together with a variety of partners outside ODH, the cancer program works to reduce the burden of cancer across these programs listed to the left.
