Environmental Surveillance

Collection and analysis of environmental sample media is conducted in the vicinity of the Beaver Valley, Davis-Besse, and Perry Nuclear Power Plants.

Various environmental media are collected on either a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or semi-annual basis. Sample analysis is performed by the Ohio Department of Health’s radiological analytical laboratory located at 8995 E Main Street, Building 22, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Technical Support staff evaluates these analytical results.  Environmental sample results are published in an annual report.
