The School Hearing and Vision Screening Report

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) conducts a statewide survey every two years of school vision and hearing programs. ODH uses data from this survey in four ways:

  • To determine compliance with screening requirements

  • To plan statewide vision and hearing screening trainings

  • To establish and revise hearing and vision screening guidelines

  • To assist ODH in planning its Maternal and Child Health Block Grant objectives

The 2008-2009 School Hearing and Vision Screening Report results are now available.

The previous 2006-2007 School Hearing and Vision Screening Report results are available.
