Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Licensing Board
The Hearing Aid Dealers and Fitters Licensing Board, in accordance with Chapter 4747 of the Ohio Revised Code, oversees the practice of fitting and selling hearing aids in Ohio. The Board is responsible for examining and licensing individuals and businesses that practice in the state, and for monitoring compliance with the Board’s law and rules.

2017 Board Meetings
Board meeting are held on Fridays unless otherwise indicated. Meetings begin at 9:00 a.m. Enter the Ohio Department of Health building at 35 East Chestnut Street, in downtown Columbus. Email firstname.lastname@example.org at least three (3) business days prior to the meeting to ensure that you are added to the Security Roster. You must have a photo ID in order to enter the building.
Attending a Board meeting meets the one-hour continuing education requirement in “ethics or Ohio state law” under Ohio A.C. 4747-1-11(C)(1).
Practical exams are held on Fridays unless otherwise indicated. Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. and exams begin at 9:00 a.m. and last all day. You must have a photo ID in order to enter the building.
Ohio Law and Rules (OLR) exams are held on the first Tuesday of each month except July. There is no 2017 July OLR exam.
