Sewage Treatment System (STS) Product Reviews
The Ohio Revised Code (ORC) section 3718.04 authorizes the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to approve Sewage Treatment Systems (STS) and components that are not defined in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 3701-29. ORC Section 3718.03 (A) creates the Sewage Treatment System Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to advise the director of health on the approval or disapproval of these STS or components. ORC 3718.04 requires the director of health to consider TAC recommendations when approving or disapproving a STS or component. Applications for Product Review
TAC and ODH have developed the following application form and resources to aid manufactures seeking approval for meeting the effluent limits defined in the Standards and Guidelines for ORC 3718.04 Review. Applicants seeking only approval for meeting the BOD5/TSS standard and demonstrating compliance with ANSI/NSF Standard 40 may be reviewed administratively by ODH staff. The application form and resources are available in MS Word format upon request.
