The Ohio Department of Health has actively participated in the Weapons of Mass Destruction/Domestic Preparedness training and was instrumental in the development of the Ohio Protocol: Ohio Guidelines for Threatened Human Biological Incident.
Through actual incidents (all hoaxes to date,) we find confusion in the response community concerning the decontamination of victims from incidents alleging involvement with biological agents (e.g., anthrax.)
This brief slide presentation is designed to hopefully eliminate some of that confusion and eliminate unneeded decontamination of victims from these incidents.
