Notes:
IMS incorporates a top down structure which enables the person in charge of the whole incident or a part of a larger incident to command the incident or section by giving that person control and allowing coordination of the resources at that persons disposal. It has been successfully used for many events including:
- Planned events
- concerts
- official visits
- church festivals
- Multi-jurisdictional and multi-agency events
- Search and Rescue missions
- Private Sector emergency management events.
