Wear Red Heart Health

During the month of February, national attention is given to raising awareness about the impact of heart disease on women. Heart disease, which includes coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction (heart attack) and heart failure are the leading causes of death in Ohio. The heart disease mortality rate for women in Ohio was 152.3 deaths per 100,000 (2009 data), yet many women still do not realize that heart disease is the greatest health problem they face.
