The Ohio Department of Health Tobacco Program Awards Local Contracts: 2015-2016 

Funded through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Tobacco Prevention: Policy, System & Environmental Changes grant, the Ohio Department of Health Tobacco Program in the Bureau of Environmental Health and Radiation Protection, awarded contracts to 11 of Ohio’s local health departments and four public health partnerships.


The local programs focus on providing services in two targeted areas:

  • Environmental Policy Adoption: Smoke-free Housing and Smoke-free Public Places
  • Youth: stand - a peer-to-peer youth outreach campaign to counter the influence of tobacco, Youth Counter Marketing and Youth Tobacco Point-of-Sale (POS) retail advertising
