The Ohio Revised Code (ORC) section 3718.04 authorizes the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) to approve Sewage Treatment Systems (STS) and components that are not defined in the Ohio Administrative Code (OAC) 3701-29. ORC Section 3718.03 (A) creates the Sewage Treatment System Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) to advise the director of health on the approval or disapproval of these STS or components. ORC 3718.04 requires the director of health to consider TAC recommendations when approving or disapproving a STS or component. See the Approved Systems and Components Web page for information on current component and system approvals.
